Letting Go of Perfection

So, it's been a couple of weeks now that I've been a consistent blogger and I am loving it!  I started my first blog almost 5 years ago, but I've never been able to do maintain one on a regular basis.  I've been thinking a little bit about what is making the biggest difference this time around.

I think it has a lot to do with the 365 photo project.  It's really given me a reason to spend a few minutes each day, even if it's quick, to post something.  The other byproduct of the photo project is that it has enabled me to let go of perfection.  The whole premise behind a 365 project is improvement and to be able to document your progression over the course of a year.  It has let me simply share what I've done, and who I am, today.  Imperfect as things may be, I just want to share.  So, if you see things here that seem unfinished or imperfect, just know that it's a work in progress.  I'm not perfect, but I am trying to improve.

This is inspired by the drawings of my 4 1/2 year old.  I love how she is unafraid to draw what is in her head, do the best she can and share it with whomever is willing to see.  It's my goal this year to become more like her in this regard.  And to maintain her energy level.  And her capacity for cold cereal anytime of the day.
