Before and After-Maxfield's Photo

Like a lot of designers that enjoy photography, I've had the bad habit of thinking behind the camera, "Oh, it's good enough.  I'll fix it later in Photoshop."  With my 365 project, I've tried to keep my photoshoping to the bare minimum.  Nothing more than some curves and hue/saturation (for black and white conversion).  It's really teaching me the importance of thinking behind the camera and getting the best possible shot.

That being said, I love the power of Photoshop.  This was a historic photo that was taken at Maxfields Candy around the time it was started, which was 1947.  We wanted to use the photo in some marketing materials, but it needed some help.  It was fun to watch the photo transform into something that could be used and enjoyed.
